Wyonegonic Camp Staff

Thank You for Your Interest in Employment

We hire staff for a variety of seasonal summer positions at Wyonegonic Camp. Before applying, please read the following:

  • Staff applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Certain specialized positions require a minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Wyonegonic staff are responsible for the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to be a positive role model for children in behavior and appearance.
  • It is understood that persons who apply are in good health and are free from limitations that would interfere with living in and caring for children in an active outdoor environment. Staff applicants should refer to the essential functions of their job description.
    • Consistent with its commitment to equal employment opportunity, Wyonegonic Camps will provide a reasonable accommodation to applicants and employees with disabilities if the reasonable accommodation would allow the individual to perform the essential functions of the job, unless doing so would create an undue hardship.
  • Camp is a smoking, vaping and substance-free facility, and we expect all staff to adhere to this policy at all times.
  • Wyonegonic is required to perform a criminal background check on all staff who have been offered a position.
Wyonegonic will provide opportunities for necessary certifications — certification training begins in early June at Wyonegonic and ends before our all staff Pre-camp Orientation starts.

Staff Application Process

Staff candidates may use our Staff Inquiry Form or Staff Application to express interest in a position. A Staffing Director will reach out to candidates for an introductory call about your interest in working with children and goals for working at camp. All staff candidates who are interested to pursue a position at that stage will need a completed staff application with three references and should schedule an interview if it has not already occurred. There will be chances for candidates to review written job descriptions, camp policies and ask questions. Job offers will be made to qualified candidates who match our specific openings at the time.
