She is a past board member of the Maine Youth Camping Association. She recently served on local area boards of the Bridgton Hospital, Fryeburg Academy, and Loon Echo Land Trust. Besides staying connected with Wyonegonic families and alumnae, Carol enjoys hiking, skiing, golf, and classical music.

Abbey Esposto

Staff Experience and Recruitment Director

Kiyi! I am Abbey Atwood Esposto and am the Staff Experience and Recruitment Director, working for camp year round recruiting and interviewing staff to join the Wyo team. I have spent 20 years on the shores of Moose Pond, starting in Pooh Corner, working my way through all 3 units as a camper then a CIT, and finally several years on staff including time as a Junior cabin counselor, the CIT Director, and more recently as the Intermediate Unit Director. My professional background is in education; after graduating from the University of Virginia I moved out to Oakland, CA where I was a middle school humanities teacher for many years eventually moving into administrative roles at the school and district office level. Most recently I have been working for a summer day camp organization, Galileo Camps, helping them expand their camps to the Denver, CO area and running all aspects of their Denver camp offerings. I have a passion for the experience that camp provides to kids in today's world and seek to help all families access these experiences for their children. In particular the sense of belonging, independence, and pride that camp cultivates in young people is unparalleled and nearly impossible to replicate in non-camp settings. I am so excited to be at Wyonegonic for the foreseeable future and look forward to swimming in Moose Pond, singing at evening circle, and most importantly meeting and supporting all the staff. In my free time I enjoy getting lost in a good book, swimming with a women's Masters program, and exploring the Rocky Mountains on skis or a paddleboard. In the off season my husband Ryan and I live in Denver, Colorado with our four children - Russell & Clark who are campers at Winona, and Toby & Eliza our twins who are excited for Pooh Corner.

Rich Jordan

Head Chef & Facilities Manager

Hi, My name is Rich. I’m the head chef at Wyonegonic, and this will be my sixth summer at camp. I grew up in North Shore Massachusetts but spent my summers fishing Sebago lake and hiking the White mountains. I currently live in Denmark, ME. After receiving my degree in food science from Atlantic Culinary Academy in Dover, NH I worked in many different restaurants but felt a disconnect for my love of nature. My next journey was opening a property maintenance company. I loved working outside and interacting with clients but missed the kitchen. This led me to Wyonegonic. What an amazing fit! I'm lucky enough to work year round for Wyonegonic and never get tired of the beauty that it brings. During the off season, I blow leaves off cabins, turn on/off the water to camp, plow the camp roads, shovel off snow from the Wiggie roofs, and any other maintenance needed for Wyo. It’s so rewarding when a camper tells you they love the food, makes you a card to show their gratification, or sings “thank you for the dinner”. I can’t wait to see you at The Cobb, Kiyi!

Rhiannon Logan

Office Manager

Hi there! My name is Rhiannon, but I am well known around camp as Rhi. I work year-round in the office here at Wyonegonic, and this will be my eighth summer on the shores of Moose Pond. I was born and raised here in Maine and have lived in Denmark for the past 17 years. I have two daughters Kylee and Mckenzie. In our spare time, you will find us hanging out with our fur babies, 3 cats and our puppy named Gritty. We enjoy spending time outside as much as possible, and you will usually find us hiking one of our many hiking trails, hitting the ski slopes, or just enjoying a lazy day on the water. Wyo is such a special place, and I feel blessed to be a part of it. I am counting down the days until summer! Until then, maybe I will chat with you on the office phone or via email. Kiyi!

Becky Sudduth

Administrative Assistant and Camp Photographer

Wiggies, Greenies and Widgies?  What had I gotten myself into back in 1998? That was my first summer as a Wyonegonic Senior Camp Counselor.  It all seemed so foreign to me at the time, until my amazing teammates took me by the arm and said, “It’s camp!... and you are going to LOVE IT!” And that I did.  I knew, after that summer, that Wyo would be a huge part of my life moving forward.  I had recognized that I had grown more that summer, than ever before, and couldn’t shake the feeling of the loving embrace of the Wyo community.  Camp was for me and I wanted more!

After David and I got married and had kids, our summers finally returned to the shores of Moose Pond. We attended Family Camp for several years until our kids were old enough to be campers starting in 2013. We haven’t missed a summer since.  It’s been so fun watching our kids grow up within the Wyo/Winona family and eventually becoming amazing counselors.  I have loved my supportive role at Wyonegonic throughout the years.  My Communications and Business Degree from Northern Michigan University has been useful in the many roles I fulfill during camp and throughout the year. During the summer you might find me supporting staff and campers, in the office, up at the barn, or maybe behind the lens of my trusty camera.  My passion for photography has kept camp parents in the loop for years, with taking over 10,000 photos a summer to help tell the camp story.  When I’m not taking pictures, you might find me hiking, horseback riding or skiing in Breckenridge CO where we live in the winter. I love calling camp “home”.

Katie Brown

Leadership Training and Staff Support

Kiyi! I am Katie Brown, I will be directing the Assistant Counselors and supporting the staff and camp program this summer. My first summer at Wyo was way back in 1988 as a senior camper and Wyo has been a huge part of my life ever since. I have been a counselor, Activity Supervisor, Trip Leader and UD in all three units. I’m so excited to help lead, train and support our amazing group of counselors to create the Wyo magic for camp this summer. My favorite moments at camp are singing with friends, campfires under the stars, being out on Moose Pond, and evening circle each night. I’m so inspired by the strong young women of Wyonegonic who are finding their voice, building solid friendships, and challenging themselves each day. I live in Kaneohe, Hawaii where I get to be outdoors every day. I teach middle and high school science during the year while I count the days until I can return to the shores in the summertime. I have 2 sons who are down the lake at Winona, Miles and Kekoa. Rounding out our family is my husband, Mill, who is a huge supporter of Wyo and Winona and who joins us regularly for some fishing and paddling on Moose Pond.

Pam Bucknam Hale

Intermediate Unit Director

My name is Pam Bucknam Hale, and this summer will be my 16th summer at Wyonegonic. My first summer at Wyonegonic was as a Junior camper, and I continued to spend every summer of my childhood as a camper, then a CIT and AC, until I eventually was back in Junior as a counselor. In May of 2021, I retired from my job of 25 years at a large Massachusetts non-profit so that I could return to Wyo for the summer as the Intermediate Unit Director. Best decision ever! When I’m not working, I enjoy being outdoors, running, golfing, hiking, swimming, biking, and spending time with my family. My family includes my wife Teresa, my daughter Charley, my son Sammy, and our dog Rufus. I feel very fortunate to be able to share my love for camp with my children. Charley will be returning to Wyo as a Senior camper and Sammy will return to Winona as an Intermediate camper. Rufus and I will be in Inty camp! I can't wait to reconnect with returning campers and counselors and look forward to meeting new campers and staff and introducing them to everything Wyonegonic has to offer. Wyonegonic is a magical place, and I feel so grateful to be a part of it.

Margot Cosgrove

CIT Director

Kiyi! My name is Margot Cosgrove. I’m from Chatham, New Jersey and I’m thrilled to be returning for my second summer as Wyo’s CIT director alongside my lifelong friend MK Dinnhaupt. I arrived for the first time on the shores of Moose Pond as an eager Junior camper, and returned summer after summer for 10 straight years completing both CIT and AC summer before becoming a sailing counselor in Intermediate and then Senior camp. I’m now embarking on summer 13, and couldn’t be more excited to be continuing in this role of CIT director.

I attended Union College undergraduate, where I majored in psychology and English. For the last three school years I have worked as an assistant Kindergarten teacher with aspirations to teach middle school English. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at NYU in the hopes of accomplishing this goal after graduation. I reflect on my CIT summer as one of my favorites at Wyo, where I gained valuable leadership skills and formed deep friendships that I maintain to this day. I can’t wait to create just as enriching of an experience for CITs ’25.

MK Dinnhaupt

CIT Director

Kiyi! I’m MK Dinnhaupt, hailing from the great state of New Jersey and currently living in Brooklyn. 2025 will be my 11th summer at Wyonegonic, and my second as a CIT Director. Being a part of the Leadership Team has been a dream of mine since I was a teen, and I couldn’t imagine a more exciting opportunity than to be able to do it with my dear friend of 20+ years, Margot. I started my Wyo life in 2009 in Intermediate (where there were many tears…), and then I went all the way through Senior camp, CIT, AC, and worked as a Junior cabin counselor for 2 summers. (By then, I was never homesick, only campsick!)

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2019 with a degree in Television, Radio & Film and have since worked at NBC, WGME in Portland, Maine, and on various documentaries. A chance call in 2024 led me back to the shores of Moose Pond, and within days of returning, I decided to pivot my career toward teaching. I firmly believe CIT summer is more than just a time for 16-year-olds to develop leadership skills, but also a unique chance for them to form lifelong bonds. I’m looking forward to mentoring this crew and seeing their progress over the course of the summer, and can’t wait for all of the laughs we have along the way!

Andy Kearns

Trip Program Coordinator

My name is Andy Kearns (ACK to camp folk), and since the age of ten I have considered myself a lucky guy to have spent 34 Summers on the shores of Moose Pond living and loving Winona Camps. After several camper years I spent my first summers as a counselor working as a trip leader, and as an outdoor living skills instructor. I went on to work with great staff in the position of both Junior and Intermediate Unit Director as well as with the CITs. This coming summer will be my fifth at Wyonegonic. In 1998 I met my wife Kay Leigh while we were both working at Camp and since then we have spent many wonderful summers raising our 3 kids under the pines. They all grew up in Pooh Corner, as campers, CITs and are now in staff positions. Our family lives in Steamboat Springs Colorado, where in the Winter months I spend my time working on the ski patrol and enjoying time on the slopes and hiking with our visiting families and Camp friends. I have spent many years as a High School educator, the last 15 of which were teaching in a Youth at Risk and Experiential Education program in Fryeburg Maine. I hold a B.A. in Experiential Education and a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. The miles I have tread both leading trips and on my own adventures in Maine, NH, and beyond serves me well as Trip Coordinator. I am truly looking forward to working with the Wyo Leadership Team and mentoring the Wyonegonic Trip Leaders as they embark with campers on the amazing adventures camp offers.

Abbie Garrels

Junior Unit Director

Kiyi! My name is Abbie and I am the Junior Unit Director. I am thrilled to be returning to Wyonegonic for my 19th summer. I started in Pooh Corner and grew up returning to Wyo each summer including 5 years on staff spending most of my time on the swim docks teaching and directing the waterfront. I have lived for many years in Salt Lake City, UT where I worked as a social worker and mentored teens in Wilderness Programs. While living out west, I enjoyed all that the majestic mountains had to offer. I love to run, hike and explore. I currently live in Rhode Island with my husband, Chris, who I met at Winona and married at camp, and our two kiddos Henry and Anna. Wyonegonic offers a unique opportunity for girls to challenge themselves in a safe environment where they will be supported through their struggles and celebrated in their successes. The beautiful scenery of camp and amazing activities provide the perfect setting to get away from all the “noise” and allow young girls to develop confidence, be true to themselves and build strong relationships (some that will last a lifetime)! My favorite memories at Wyo were the “in between moments” walking down the cabin line with friends, sitting behind the cabins laughing or splashing at free swim. In between the activities and structure that camp provides is where I found the magic of Wyo. I can’t wait to work with the staff again this summer to create a nurturing place for girls to grow and have fun and be a part of the magic of Junior Wyonegonic!

Katie Knapp

Senior Program Coordinator

Kiyi! I’m Katie Knapp, and this is my 2nd summer at Wyonegonic. Growing up in the mountains of Western Maine, I instantly felt at home on the shores of Moose Pond. Spending last summer learning the ins and outs of Senior camp, I am excited to take on the role as Program Director. For me, the magic of Senior is the silliness of an evening program, confidence gained through challenge by choice and the deep connections felt between both campers and staff. I feel very lucky to have both of my daughters at camp with me, Matilda in Senior and Dorothy in Junior. My son, Cleaveland, will be spending his 4th summer at Winona. My husband, Steven, will be visiting often from our home in Falmouth Maine. I am very passionate about education and child development. When not at camp, I have spent the last ten years volunteering in many capacities and serving on boards related to both. I look forward to bringing these passions together to help enrich the community in Senior camp!

Jenn Perkins

Camp Program Director

My name is Jenn (aka Perk) and I will be returning to the shores for my 36th year. I have held several different positions at Wyonegonic in the past and this summer I will continue with my role as the Wyonegonic Program Director. I have enjoyed this job as I get to work closely with the campers in helping them challenge themselves to excel in the activities of their choice. It also allows me to encourage and mentor our staff as they become the best teachers and leaders they can be for the campers. Camp is a family affair in our house, five out of our six kids have all attended either Wyonegonic or our brother camp Winona. My husband Jim also makes the drive from Alabama to enjoy his summers on the shores. I am excited to start yet another year with our great staff and all of the amazing kids that call Wyonegonic their home for the summer. Kiyi!

Jaime Peterson

Health Services Director

Hi! My name is Jaime Peterson and I am a general pediatrician and educational researcher in Portland (Oregon, not Maine!). At Wyonegonic I am the Health Services Director. I help ensure we provide daily medications, triage and care for acute injuries and illnesses, support and education for staff regarding mental health and health conditions, and partner with the leadership teams to ensure campers are healthy and thriving.

While 2024 was my first summer at Wyonegonic in the health center, my love for the outdoors, camp, and working with kids started long before I became a doctor. I was lucky to be a camper at a backpack camp (Colvig Silvers Camp) for many summers, a CIT director at Camp Natoma, and later in my training, I spent two summers as a camp doctor at a diabetes camp, Camp Conrad Chinnock. These days, I love supporting kids to take on the challenges of camp life without health conditions and medications getting in the way. I am proud to be part of a dynamic, experienced team of nurses and physicians who help bring the magic of camp to all kids. My whole family embraces Wyo! My husband, Sam Lloyd, is a Trip Leader, and my two daughters Elsie and Jules are Junior campers. When not at camp, I am a primary care pediatrician and conduct research on school readiness and educational disparities.

Educational background: Undergrad (UC Berkeley), medical school (UC San Diego), pediatric residency, chief residency, academic research fellowship (Stanford), and masters in public health (UC Berkeley).

Steph Puchalski

Senior Unit Director

Kiyi! My name is Steph and I’m so excited to be returning to the shores of Moose Pond this summer. I grew up in Vermont, swimming in mountain brooks, playing in the woods and skiing as much as I could. I crave time outdoors and love sharing adventures with my family. I was first exposed to Wyonegonic as a child through Family Camp, and was a counselor in Junior for two summers in 2001-2002. I have returned over the years to teach lifeguarding during both the pre-camp clinics and to a few of the CIT groups. I love exposing my kids to camp life as I enjoy my role of Senior Unit Director. Haleigh will be at Wyonegonic and Noah will spend the summer at Winona, and my husband Joe hopes to visit as much as possible. I enjoy working with adolescents and helping them learn to make their way in the world. I taught high school (and some middle school) math for ten years at both boarding and day schools prior to having children. I’ve coached track and field, swimming, and field hockey and continue to lifeguard and tutor. I strongly believe that Wyonegonic cultivates an environment in which girls can be their true selves, explore new activities and ways of thinking, and develop a resiliency towards life. I look forward to guiding campers and counselors as we create community in Senior Camp.
