You do a remarkable job recruiting and training staff. My daughter had an amazing group of counselors this summer that were smart, fun, responsible, and entertaining. It’s the best part of her year! We can never thank WYO enough for all that you have given to her — it’s invaluable!

My daughter returns from Wyo each summer with more self confidence and authenticity. Her camp experience and camp friends sustain her through challenging times during the school year. Wyo is a critical component of her education.

She loves camp. As parents, we love it as well. We feel our daughter is in a safe environment, where she learns new skills, tries new activities and makes friends. Thank you for providing such an impactful summer experience for her.

I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful summer. It always amazes me how great it feels to return ‘home’ to Moose Pond. Being able to share that feeling with campers — to make Wyonegonic their home as well — was incredible. Thank you for preserving such a special place.

Summer camp shaped and continues to shape who I am. Camp allowed me to be myself, try new things, live in a community, and forced me out of my comfort zone (gently). I learned that teaching and working with youth is a passion.

Wyo encourages girls to get outside their comfort zone and to achieve great things in a safe environment. She loves the traditions of camp and the supportive and caring environment where she can be herself 100%.

She grew in many ways during her camp experience and realized that she can tackle new experiences on her own and succeed. Our overall purpose, primarily of giving her the opportunity to succeed away from home, was definitely achieved.

The biggest reason we gave her the opportunity to come to camp was to develop a stronger sense of self, independence, and maturity. She gained that and so much more. Wyo is bar-none the best gift we’ve ever given our daughter, as her experience there has given her tremendous self-esteem, her closest friends, and an amazing confidence and resilience in dealing with life’s obstacles.

Tonight our cabin had an awesome experience. At first, only some of us were enthusiastic about climbing Pleasant Mountain to see the sunset. Once the hard uphill of the climb was behind us, we had lots of laughs scrambling around the rocky top viewing Mt Washington surrounded by a kaleidoscope of oranges, reds, and golds. The sunset was cool, but the Evening Circle was immense. We sang and sang on top of the world and felt a connection like never before as the traditional squeeze was passed from friend to friend.
